If you’ve been collecting shoes for more than a decade, you’ve heard the fabled words “I remember when those first dropped”. As of late these statements seem more and more frequent with every brand bringing back silhouettes from the late 90s and early 2000’s. From Jordan Brand to Asics, the past 24 months have seen a cornucopia of old styles in new and original colorways. But what about the colors that haven’t come back, the ones too good to redo?
For NYC-Based bespoke studio “Ceeze ”, that means the Burgundy Air Jordan 5s from 2006, one of the few Jordan 5s yet to receive a retro. In that vein, the bespoke artisan decided to merge his personal grail with the recently released Off-White styled Air Jordan 5 to create something even more visceral. The shoe itself has been crafted from a suede burgundy alligator and accented with the 5’s classic 3M reflective tongue, napa eyelets and foam padding better resembling the recent Off-White Air Jordan 5.
Priced at $3350, these “Burgundy OW Air Jordan 5s are now live on Ceeze website and limited to a handful of units. While the AJ1 might still reign supreme, you can see the quality and love that went into this breathtaking sueded creation. In other Jordan Brand news . . . . . . .
