Black-owned media company ‘Tribe urban’ is preparing for its ‘Empowered Women in Media’ panel event. The event will feature 3 key speakers; Jada Pollock, Head of Starboy entertainment and Wizkids manager; Fay Hoyte, Atlantic Records marketing director; and Christel Kayibi, Sony Music director of repertoire strategy.
The event will promote diversity, inclusivity, and gender parity in the entertainment industry and media landscape, with the platform allowing women in media to come together and have a collective voice, sharing experiences and ultimately learning from one another.
The event will be hosted by communications agency, Kallure Consulting founder Niecy Mills and will take place on the 31st of march at the University of Greenwich.
The 3 individuals leading the panel are highly decorated individuals in the media industry with Jada pollock having managed the likes of Chirs Brown, Tinchy Stryder, and Wizkid. Fay Hoyte has worked on campaigns alongside the likes of One Direction, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, Burna Boy, and many more. Christel Kayibi is the final media industry expert on the panel, and is currently the Director of Repertoire Strategy for Africa in Sony Music’s continental Europe and Africa team, where she develops Sony’s rosters and network, and drives Sony’s entry into new markets across continents.
The ‘Empowered Women in Media’ panel was curated by Tribe Urban’s Operations and Marketing Director and Industry Link Up creator, Fred Lartey who had this to say ahead of the event; “We are thrilled to announce this event in partnership with the University of Greenwich.
