London-based, Somali born artist FaceSoul has shared a mesmeric new track, ‘Faith In Me’ as well as announcing his forthcoming EP, A Beautiful Patience, set for release on November 20. If the latest release is anything to go by for his upcoming project It will be an EP that shifts between melodic immediacy and liminal spaces, featuring contemplative lyrics that delve into the experience of a child of diaspora, finding new communities and the power of perseverance.
The beautiful song hears Facesoul’s airy voice float over the heavy chords with his repetitive chorus “put some faith in me / cos we’re moving up”.
FaceSoul had this to say about his latest release, “Faith In Me’ is about remembering that there is an innate beauty and strength that lies within life’s virtues, especially amidst the confusing chaos of our current social and global climate. Hope is not lost, if we can’t find it in ourselves, we can find it in one another.”
The newest release is one of the first of the Somali born artists from his upcoming project ‘A beautiful patience‘ set to release on the 20th of November.
