London-based alt-pop artist Ella Tobin has today released her debut EP, Favourite Place to Hide. The 4 track EP features Ellas 3 previously released singles Wanna Go Home, Older and The Ghost, as well as a newly added track titled Golden Hours to conclude the 4 piece collection.
As the new year begins Ella has ensured her name is on people’s minds with her latest release, still so new in the scene the project is a beautiful showcase of what Ellas’ pen has to offer as well as her enchanting voice.
Ella had this to say when speaking about the story behind her latest single Golden Hours and her new debut ep, “Golden Hours is a platonic love song for the people and places that always feel like home. It’s an ode to the precious moments spent together with your best friends where for a short while, it feels like time slows down and the world is a little lighter. With melancholic themes running through the rest of the EP, I wanted to end with Golden Hours as a reminder that, despite all the heavy stuff, there are always things to be celebrated and cherished, especially the people we hold closest to us.”
Ella is another artist coming out of the capital, her elegant wordmanship and ethereal vocals make her an evident standout. To celebrate her debut EP Ella will be performing at her sold-out headline show at Camden Cathedral on the 2nd of February.
Favourite place to hide is available to listen to everywhere and isn’t to be missed.
