Mesmerising and intriguing band SWARM6IX just released their newest single ‘Lip$tick’, combining low grungy tones with a spectacular glass shattering chorus, preaching into the shadows of darkness with lyrics filled with angst.
As Ben Fordham SWARM6IX vocalist explains Lip$tick evokes the disappointing and fist clenching feeling when “people that portray themselves as something that they are not”
The song has elements of energetic rap metal, trap and nu metal but the band are without a specific genre so they have “room for anything to happen”. SWARM6IX have “diverse music interest within the band” so “nothings off the table for us.”
Lip$tick is headbang worthy as well as being perfect for screaming along in your car. The wild drums and impressive vocal range of the band’s lead singer promise to illuminate and engulf the crowd when performed live.
We spoke to the band’s lead singer Ben, to get to know the band ahead of their exciting musical endeavours.
If you could listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Coheed and Cambria – In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3
Ben says its “a rollercoaster of a song and an incredible journey to be a part of”
What are your hobbies/interests besides music?
Family is such an important thing for us. It’s what sustains us and makes us whole!! Not the most rock n roll answer I know but it’s honest! We are very family orientated people and spending time with them is really important.
What are you looking forward to most in 2024?
Gigging, growing, and writing new music. I’m really excited to see what this year has in store for us!! And what more we have to bring to the table!!
SWARM6IX say to “expect a lot of energy, theatrics and feeling slightly uncomfortable” for those heading to their shows.
