The atmosphere was excitable, and anticipation filled the air at this years Liverpool John Moores graduate fashion show, showcasing an exceptionally high display of craftmanship and innovation in their garments that kept the audience engaged at the fun and imagination on display.
Murdo Mckay’s mens wear collection stood out with pleated tailoring. One does not need to break all the rules and do something outlandish in order to make an impact. it was carried out in an accomplished manner, and that made all the difference.
His fellow classmate Mai Le Lan Y showed interesting concept. A post-apocalyptic streetwear collection that was certainly menacing in the its shades of all grey colour pallet, frayed edges and a worn in hopelessness air about them, with the models aggressively walking down the catwalk adding to menacing attitude of the clothes.
Amiee Godfrey’s collection entitled ‘ The Female Orgasm’. It was a strong collection with real character, the kind that makes you remember the designer, providing an excellent demonstration of how to make a point with your collection without ruining the designs
