Yaaang has just dropped their first single of the year.

Formed in Salford, England in early 2019, the band are steadily redefining Manchester’s underground scene.

A genre-fluid band that is full of chaos and is up for it.

Their latest single ‘Airport Bar Fight’ is a comeback to their original style that works so well and suits them to a tee. Fresh, raw and unapologetic return to what they’re all about.

Renowned for their blend of punk, electronic, experimental and post-modern sound, they have delivered another hard-hitting track.

The track kicks off with a bang, featuring glitchy drums and relentless, hypnotic bass lines from Ben White and searing guitar riffs from Oliver Duffy.

The shift from purely electronic instruments to incorporating guitar and basses has certainly added a new dimension to their sound. The track still encapsulates their unique musique concréte essence.

Well known around the North for their raw energy live, the new track captures the intense highs and lows of your 20’s ricocheting through life at breakneck speed into the next phase of what we call life.

Yaang’s sound is reminiscent of 80’s punk with a little bit of Talking Heads and some Devo for good measure.

“There’s got to be more to this, but I don’t know what to ask for…” sings Davey Moore in his most unhinged, urgent vocal delivery.

Airport Barfight stands out as a bold and impactful track from their repertoire, encapsulating the spirit of what they stand for.  So, who’s ready for an airport bar fight then?- Yaang certainly are
