Words by Jean Genie
A glorious rapture of thunderous guitars and drums!
MOSES have created a relatable self help sing along anthem in their latest music video for single “Raining For Days.”
We’ve had days where it feels like when it rains, it pours, MOSES like a rainbow after the storm fills our screens with hopeful lyrics in yellow chasing the beautiful bittersweet blues that lead singer Victor rails against in the confines of his bedroom…or someone else’s bedroom? It literally could be anyone’s bedroom, with the curtain closed yet still trying to find the light, it could be your bedroom, we can relate to the metaphor.
The song takes a hard look into the mirror to turn and face the most poignant of facts: “We only get one life, a cliché that I really like…” and urges the listener to pause and ponder the fact that we are alive for a finite amount of time and the concept of learning to say: “No” and that although life can often throw challenges our way to the point of never wanting to get out of bed and face a world as it literally feels like it is always raining, in spite of this there are still good things happening in the world.
Finally breaking free from his solitude Victor is met with his band mates, fans and friends to enjoy the music which reminds him of why he will never give up – Victor pleads “How can I stop?”
The song ends with a defiant “I’ll never stop!”
On that matter nor should you when it comes to pursuing your dreams…
