At London Fashion Week 2025, Sara Chraïbi’s Morocco Kingdom of Light collection brought a breath taking fusion of tradition and modernity to the runway. Known for her ability to weave Moroccan heritage with global appeal, Chraïbi’s designs evoke elegance, mysticism and a deep cultural resonance. ‘Maison Sara Chraïbi’, her eponymous brand, has long been celebrated for its delicate craftsmanship, and this collection was no exception, demonstrating Chraïbi’s commitment to creating art that speaks to both the body and the soul.
Drawing from her Moroccan roots, Chraïbi’s designs reflect an ethereal connection between the mortal and the divine. “I wanted the show to embody something very earthly, but also very heavenly,” she explained. This vision was translated into delicate fabrics and intricate embroidery, including a distinctive cut lace design inspired by the tree of life from Islamic tradition. The spirituality behind the collection was further enhanced by a soundtrack featuring Istikhbar, a slow, soulful female vocal that beautifully captured the essence of love and reverence.
The models, styled with intricate, plaited hair inspired by traditional Moroccan styles from the Atlas Mountains, were transformed into North African goddesses. Graceful and powerful. Chraïbi’s meticulous attention to detail extended to every aspect of the show, from the flowing sky blues and whites to the ornate gold pieces that punctuated the collection’s finale. Her use of gems and delicate fabrics added a layer of mysticism, making each piece feel like a treasure.
