In 2025, punk becomes a family affair as The Molotovs release their debut single More More More, dropping 21st of March 2025 through Marshall Records.
Composed of the brother and sister duo, Matt and Issey Cartlidge, The Molotovs have taken the London live music scene by storm, performing over five hundred gigs in three years; from busking on the streets of SOHO to centre stage at Cardiff Castle.
Amps set to one hundred, More More More is driven by thrashing, slicing, stabbing guitar hooks, sending shockwaves down the spine of audiences. The track explores the complexity of youthful relationships, of partners striving for fulfillment in a world of excess.
With the duo gaining their name through live performance, the time is right for Matt and Issey to take their sound to the digital stage and set punk scenes across the globe ablaze. The studio is a different challenge for The Molotov’s. Issey told ASBO:
“Doing recording, it’s like starting again. We found our sound live, but now we’ve got to find
ourselves when record. There’s been trials and tribulations over the years, we’re at a point
where we feel happy to release something.”
Produced by Jason Perry of Don Broco and Trash Boat, and Mastered by Blair Crichton of Dead Pony, The Molotovs’ debut release is in safe hands.
With an electrifying stage presence and striking image that pays homage to the traditional punk, mod, and newwave scenes, the teen duo capture the grass roots energy of the punk scene like no other, and have caught attention of powerhouse bands like The Libertines, Blondie, and The Sex Pistols.
The Molotovs’ mark on London Youth Culture is undeniable, providing teens access to watch and perform at their all ages events like Youth Explosion, hosted out of Wimbledon Library, and Issey’s Incendiary Nights (18+), hosted weekly at The Spice of Life in Soho. This grass roots approach to empower live performance and local music scenes has set the duo up for global domination.
Following the release of More More More, The Molotovs will soon begin their debut headlining UK tour, running from March 24th – April 18th 2025.
Opening at The Royal Albert Hall alongside The Sex Pistols and closing at Camden’s infamous Scala, Matt and Issey will also burn up venues in Liverpool, Norwich, Manchester, and many more cities.
The duo have recruited different local support acts for each show, and the tour is sure to be a dynamic and eclectic mix of punk and new wave sounds.
