A Global Phenomenon Returns Fresh from being crowned International Festival of the Year at the 2025 UK Festival Awards, the legendary Electric Castle is gearing up for its most expansive edition to date. From July 16–19, 2026, the 16th-century Bánffy Castle will once again transform into a 24-hour "vibrant utopia." This year’s reveal marks a new era for the Transylvanian phenomenon, blending a world-class musical lineup with the immersive, magical backdrop that has made it a true bucket-list destination.

Icons and Trailblazers The 2026 headliners represent a masterclass in genre-blurring excellence. Leading the charge are alternative icons The Cure, bringing their atmospheric live show to the castle grounds for the first time. They are joined by the explosive energy of Twenty One Pilots, the soulful power of Teddy Swims, and a high-octane return from drum & bass pioneers Chase & Status. With over 200 artists announced, the festival continues its tradition of "bringing together a unique collision of styles" in one unforgettable setting.

A Sonic Melting Pot The middle of the bill is packed with heavy hitters and rising stars. British rock favorites Nothing But Thieves join the lineup alongside indie sensations Wet Leg, who make their highly anticipated Romanian debut. Electronic fans can expect euphoric sets from techno visionary ANNA, Brazilian house phenomenon Mochakk, and dubstep titan Subtronics. Adding to the star power, Hollywood’s Keanu Reeves will take the stage on bass duties for his alt-rock band, Dogstar.
Beyond the Music: The EC Experience Electric Castle is more than just a concert; it is one of Europe’s most immersive cultural playgrounds. Between sets, attendees can explore forest hideaways, take a hot air balloon ride, or dive into the thought-provoking EC Talks. From lakeside chill-out spots and fashion markets to the eco-friendly EC Village, the festival grounds offer a 24/7 escape where the party truly never stops. As Head of Communications Tudor Costinaș puts it, "Every year we try to build a line up that feels genuinely wide-ranging... we can’t wait to meet everyone back at the castle."
