CLASS OF 2026: Coventry University commands the GFW 2026 runway with a powerhouse cohort

Day One of Graduate Fashion Week (GFW 2026) kicked off with an electric jolt of fresh perspective, but it was Coventry University’s segment in the Collective Catwalk that truly commanded the room.

Marking a milestone 20 years of its acclaimed fashion program, Coventry delivered a masterclass in technical precision and sharp commercial instinct to the Truman Brewery runway. Among a highly competitive cohort of future design leaders, two names instantly stole the spotlight: Georgina White and Gurwinder Kaur.

Coventry University’s showcase proved that they are training designers to be both artists and entrepreneurs.

  • Georgina White is absolutely one to watch on the business and brand-launch front—she has the rare ability to design pieces that people want to buy immediately.
  • Gurwinder Kaur is a master of craft and construction, bringing the kind of visual storytelling and technique that high-fashion ateliers thrive on.

Together, their collections perfectly illustrated the dual force of Coventry's current fashion crop: raw, beautiful design backed by smart, forward-thinking execution.

"Coventry delivered a powerhouse showcase, proving that the next generation of British fashion is as business-minded as it is beautifully creative."

Here is how these two standout designers are redefining the boundary between raw artistry and market-ready luxury.
