When Shih Chien University sends its top design talent to London for Graduate Fashion Week, expectations are naturally high. The Taipei institution has earned a reputation for nurturing raw, uncompromising creativity, and Ruei-Jei Chong’s latest showing on the International Collective catwalk proves why. Taking over the runway at the Truman Brewery, Chong delivered a masterclass in structural disruption—offering a striking vision that feels both technically immaculate and fiercely contemporary.

At the heart of the collection is an obsession with silhouette and spatial tension. Chong approaches tailoring not as a traditional template, but as a dynamic sculpture to be dismantled and rebuilt. Oversized, heavy-weight outer shells were balanced against soft, fluid drapes and exposed raw edges, creating an intricate dialogue between tension and vulnerability.
