The Cases continue their upward momentum with ‘Don’t Lose Your Nerve,’ a track that cements their status as one of indie-rock’s most promising new acts. Fresh off an impressive festival circuit—including standout sets at Kendal Calling, Y NOT?, and a packed Isle of Wight performance—the quartet follows up their debut EP My Penny with an energetic, anthemic step forward.
Recorded at Liverpool’s Kempston Street Studios under producer Chris Taylor (The Lathums, Blossoms), the track strikes a fine balance between melodic polish and raw, festival-ready drive. Frontman Harry Hornsby delivers a defiant vocal performance that grounds the song’s themes of self-belief and taking risks against the odds.
Musically, lead guitarist Will Bullen provides a sharp, infectious central riff that immediately anchors the track, punctuated by a fuzzy, unexpectedly aggressive guitar solo. Backed by the steady rhythm section of bassist James Maher and drummer Matt Barron, the arrangement gives the song a heavier, more expansive push while retaining the relatable storytelling that first built their audience.
