Meet Entropy.

New EP: Drunk Nights & Warning Lights’ Out The 29TH November

1.Who is ‘ Entropy

Entropy is Scott (vocals and rhythm guitar), Isaac (lead guitar), Sam (drums), and Ben
(bass)—a powerful indie-rock force from Kent

2. For someone that is yet to discover you, how would you describe your music?

We’d describe it as the louder side of indie-rock; it’s like regular indie-rock, but bigger

3. What inspired you as an artist?

One big thing that inspired us was seeing other local bands in the scene playing live; it always made us want to work harder

4. What is your process for preparing to perform live? Do you have any Diva demands?

On the drive to the gig, we always listen to “Killing in the Name Of” by Rage Against The Machine. In terms of diva demands, we keep it simple—a cup of tea (must be PG Tips) is all
we need.

5. Where do you feel you fit into the music

We enjoy playing at underground music venues, and that’s where we feel we fit in. We love
playing with other bands and supporting artists on their UK tours.

6: What are your favourite musical genres, and are there any you dislike?

The band has a mix of tastes, from Limp Bizkit to Led Zeppelin. Our different tastes in music make us an interesting band to listen to

7. Is there a story behind The Band Name?

Isaac (lead guitar) took Physics at A-levels and found the word ‘Entropy’ while flipping
through his textbook. He thought it sounded good, and since we started playing around the same time, the name just stuck

8. What would you say is your greatest strength as an artist?

Entropy’s greatest strength is definitely our entertaining live shows. We all love Performing live and are committed to making each show as great as possible

9. What would you say is your greatest weakness as an artist?

Working too hard

 10.  What can fans expect from your new Ep ‘ Drunk Nights & Warning Lights ‘  ?

They can expect a collection of four new tracks about being young, going out, and the angst of teenage life. It’s packed with big tunes from start to finish

11. What music artist would you say have influenced your work?

We always give credit to indie-rock legends Arctic Monkeys, but it changes from track to
track. Lately, The Hives and The Reytons have been big influences.

 12. Who would you most like to collaborate with artistically?

We have a few artists and bands we’d love to tour with. Highlights would include The Reytons and Fontaines DC. We supported STONE on a date in October, and it would be great to play with them again; their live show is insanely good

13. What was your worst performance?

We played a small local music festival in the summer of 2022. There was a sound limiter on stage, and when we surpassed it, all our amps cut out, leaving only the drums playing. It was a disaster from start to finish

14: What was the most difficult obstacle you have ever faced and how did you overcome it?

One tough obstacle for upcoming bands is that audiences often prefer covers to original music. It’s hard to showcase your own work at gigs when people just want to hear “Mr. Brightside” again. We overcame this by improving our original tracks until they were too good to ignore.

15: What is your creative process when making music. Do you work with others or is there just you?

It varies from song to song. Sometimes, it’s just Scott (guitar, vocals) working alone until he has something to show the rest of the band. Other times, we’ll start with a basic idea that everyone builds on and refines together

16: Where do you see your musical career in 10 years?

Hopefully, we’ll be playing a decent slot on the main stage at Reading and Leeds Festival or finishing a tour. If not, we’d still take an opening slot for six people in a sleazy club—better
than nothing.

17:Your Top 3 Overrated Musicians, who when you hear them you think ‘ How The Fk………….. ?
