Fresh off an extensive UK tour and balancing university life with explosive live shows, FERB have just dropped their new single, 'Lifted'. Marking a significant milestone in their evolving song-writing journey, 'Lifted' offers a deeply personal, optimistic anthem born out of late-night London epiphany and genuine connection. To celebrate the release, FERB will play a headline show at London’s iconic Hawley Arms in London Camden tonight.

Formed back in 2022 while still in school, FERB have built their reputation on a live experience that is equal parts sweaty, epic, and wall-of-sound. While definitely constructing their own distinct path, the band draws inspiration from the current underground wave, pairing raw momentum with a shared bond forged over years of friendship. That long-standing chemistry makes sharing song-writing duties feel almost telepathic, giving them a natural ability to build on each other’s ideas, even if the hardest part of the process is simply trying to get everyone in the same room.

A trajectory-changing night at the Elephants Head

Their new single, 'Lifted', hits exceptionally close to home. The track's defining riff was written following an important night at Camden's Elephant’s Head that completely changed the trajectory of the songwriter's life, sparking a massive burst of optimism that resonated straight through to the rest of the band. Lyrically, 'Lifted' speaks directly to finding someone during a tough moment in their life and offering reassurance that they are cared for and will be pulled out of their rut.

Evolving beyond influences into a signature sound

Drawing listening habits from Been Stellar’s debut record, Title Fight’s 'Floral Green', the new Tooth EP, and Alice In Chains’ 'Jar In Flies', FERB actively avoid formulaic song-writing. By constantly branching out their influences and exploring different themes, they have reached a point where they can no longer pinpoint specifically who their new material sounds like, a clear sign that they have locked firmly into a sound entirely their own.

Live audiences can expect an immediate rush from the moment the band hits their opening chord. alongside fan favorites, FERB have been road-testing a brand-new track called 'Splinters', which stands as their most energy-fuelled release to date. Driven by personal experiences in their early twenties and the euphoria of live music, the band continues to push forward, keeping their eyes on future milestones—including dream recording sessions with producers like Dave Friedmann or Dan Carey, and visualizing their music as something akin to a spaghetti western shootout animated in the style of 'Demon Days'-era Gorillaz.
