Fat Dog, Squid, Basht., BED, Panic Shack, Plantoid, Snayx, Working Men’s Club and Walt Disco are just some of the names ASBO is excited to hear this weekend, as Brighton’s venues open their doors to emerging artists ready to lift us all out of our winter blues. Mutations Festival 2026 is a hopeful reminder of what we stand to lose if we don't protect our grassroots music scene and the venues that keep it alive.
Mutations organisers speak on this, saying:
"We love Grassroots Music Venues, they’re the lifeblood of the music industry, the breeding ground for the next big thing and the beating heart of your local scene. Without these 10 key cultural spaces and the passion and commitment their teams provide, Brighton wouldn’t have the rich, vibrant, diverse music scene we get to call home. Please support your local Grassroots Music Venues, you’ll miss them then they’re gone".
Taking place on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th October, venues including Chalk, Dust, Patterns, Hope and Ruin, The Green Door Store, The Prince Albert and Daltons will welcome musicians keeping Brighton’s music scene alive.
So grab your tickets while they last, and we’ll see you there!
