In the ever-evolving music industry, where it is not uncommon for mainstream culture to drown out the raw voices of underground artists, Lonely Globe emerges as a beacon of authenticity. Founded by MASHY and now fuelled by the creative synergy with business partner and artist PDTHESAINT (PD), Lonely Globe isn’t just another platform; it’s a movement that celebrates alternative music, community and true self-expression. It is a safe space for creators to thrive, free from the constraints of ego and industry politics.

MASHY’s journey into the world of underground music began with a love for its raw, unfiltered creativity. “I’ve always had a thing for music, especially underground artists who produce something real,” MASHY shares. His evolution into the world of music started with creating artwork for musicians before transitioning into podcasting under the Lonely Globe name. For MASHY, it was never just about showcasing music; it was about unearthing the stories and struggles of artists trying to make a name for themselves, despite lacking the financial backing and support that mainstream acts often enjoy.
“I was drawn to artists who were experimenting with whatever they had. Whether it was creating vocals on their phones or expressing emotions that aren’t always heard,” MASHY adds. Thus, Lonely Globe was born not only as a platform but as a genuine attempt to foster a connection between underground artists and their audience.
When PD joined Lonely Globe a few months prior, it was clear he found something different from the usual competitive landscape of the rap scene. “I was always the alternative guy in the rap scene, full of ‘petty beefs’,” PD recalls. “I wanted something more. A community where people could be themselves, without that competitive edge.” That’s exactly what Lonely Globe offers: a space where collaboration, not competition, is at the heart of the music.

Both MASHY and PD are committed to cultivating a community where artists can freely express themselves, regardless of genre. “It’s about creating a space where people support each other,” MASHY says. “Even if they don’t connect with a particular genre, we love the openness to explore something new.” Events like Lonely Fest have become a testament to this ethos, where music lovers come together with no egos, just a shared love for the art. “At Lonely Fest, everyone was there for the music and for the connection. It was real,” PD reflects, sharing his excitement about the festival’s spirit of unity.
For both MASHY and PD, Lonely Globe represents more than just a creative outlet; it is a community that allows them to find and express their identities. “We want to build connections where everyone gets something back from what we do,” MASHY explains, emphasising the importance of mutual growth.

PD echoes this sentiment: “Lonely Globe has shown me that it’s okay to be raw and real. Everyone I’ve connected with through this community is genuine. It’s about building confidence and a sense of identity as creators.”
Both artists have also consciously cultivated a positive, inclusive space within the darker, more difficult themes of some underground genres such as that of emo rap. “It’s okay to express sadness,” MASHY says, “but we focus on promoting the strength to overcome that darkness.” PD adds, “It’s all about finding the light through the darkness and offering a glimmer of hope.”
With an eye on the future, MASHY and PD are determined to take Lonely Globe to greater heights. Their aspirations are bold, from expanding their community to organising larger scale events. “We want to create a festival with some of the biggest yet smallest underground artists,” MASHY shares with enthusiasm. “It’s about giving exposure to those who might never get the chance otherwise.”
PD adds, “We want to bring underground artists to the forefront. We’re breaking down the barriers that prevent them from being seen in bigger, more commercial spaces.” This is at the heart of Lonely Globe’s mission. To create a space where alternative voices are not just heard but celebrated.

Looking back on their journey, I sense the well deserved pride felt by MASHY and PD of what they have built. Reflecting on their younger selves, MASHY admits, “They’d be proud. They’d probably ask why not sooner.” PD shares, “Better late than never, right?” It’s clear that their passion for creating something meaningful and inclusive has fuelled their success and will certainly continue to do so as Lonely Globe grows.
For MASHY and PD, Lonely Globe is more than a music platform; it’s a sanctuary for those who have felt isolated or disconnected in the world of music. “We’re in the shadows, living our best life.” Their unwavering commitment to building a community where artists and fans alike can thrive, free from the pressures of mainstream culture, is what sets Lonely Globe apart. “It’s about pushing beyond comfort zones, breaking barriers and creating a space where everyone can feel like they belong.”
As Lonely Globe continues to evolve, one thing is certain: its impact will resonate far beyond the music industry, leaving an indelible mark on those who believe in the power of genuine connection, raw creativity, and a sense of belonging.
“Get comfortable with the uncomfortable,” MASHY speaks. This mindset, deeply embedded in the fabric of Lonely Globe, will guide the movement into the future. One where underground artists and creators continue to shine.
