Toronto, Canada-based punk artist ThxSoMch covered a Toronto art gallery in black splatter paint under strobe lights with the help of contemporary artist Jack Carden in his latest music video for fan favorite track "Unhinged" out now. Later this month, the artist will share his highly anticipated debut record The Sound of You Laughing out on August 29 via Atlantic Records.

ThxSoMch burst onto the scene in 2022 with viral hit "SPIT IN MY FACE!" which has garnered 672M+ streams on Spotify and charted on the Billboard Hot 100. Since then, after touring the U.S., Europe and taking the  Rollin Loud stage, the artist has only continued to elevate, evolve and expand his artistry and fast-growing, fervent global fan base, boasting over 414K followers on TikTok. Now, with over 1B career streams and three tracks with over 100M, he unrelentingly disrupts the post-punk, alt-rock space as he paves his own lane–unapologetically staying true to himself and his artistry like never before and prepares to reach new heights.

Dark with a touch of suspense, "Unhinged" was born from a 2023 voice recording that the artist couldn't get out of his head. He continued to put it down and pick it back up for over a year, until October 2024 while making the forthcoming album. ThxSoMch explains, "When I decided to record some older song ideas, I came back to it. Recorded it, didn’t think much of it, and posted it. To my surprise, it became a fan favourite." Only finished after the album was complete, It ended up being a late addition to The Sound of You Laughing, and finally, it can be streamed and viewed everywhere.
