Born and raised in Nigeria, DJ turned recording artist Viktor Snipes has been slowly building his name within Nigeria’s burgeoning Afro-Fusion scene for the past year. Making himself known through a slew of highly-praised singles including “Soro Soke”, “KPO KPO” and more recently ‘Puta’, Viktor has cemented himself as an artist full of potential, thanks to his high-quality rapping, singing and lyricism. He has now revealed his latest track entitled ‘International Vocal’ an engaging, hip-hop influenced afro-pop banger.
‘International Vocal’ is driven by a percussion-soaked instrumental and laced with hip-hop drums throughout, creating a lush, attention-grabbing sound. Vocally, Viktor provides a charismatic performance throughout, his rap flow rides the instrumental perfectly as he raps about how there will never be another like him. Viktor’s singing on the track is also of a high calibre, His vocal melodies help flesh out the instrumental arrangements within the track, filling out the sound and keeping the track entertaining throughout.
The accompanying video is beautiful, Viktor drives throughout Nigeria with various shots showing off the country’s natural beauty. There are also shots of lots of African fashion and dancing, the video wonderfully represents African culture.
