Australia's breakout indie-pop darlings, Betty Taylor, are back with their highly anticipated and infectiously catchy new single, 'Sucker Punch,' set for release on November 5th via Hello Gardener / Pals. The track is poised to further cement the band's growing local and international acclaim, following a run of successful singles that have contributed to over three million streams worldwide.

Co-written with renowned Australian producer Robby De Sa (known for his work with grentperez, The Veronicas, and Blusher), 'Sucker Punch' is a dazzling, heart-thumping blend of indie-dream-pop. It perfectly captures that exhilarating, dizzying rush of falling for someone when you've absolutely sworn off love.

"This is a story about swearing off dating and being content on your own, only to suddenly meet someone who changes everything," explains frontwoman Sophie Patrick. "It’s like BAM you meet someone out of nowhere and you're like ‘oh wow you amazing’ but also 'oh no, this wasn't a part of the plan and I and don't want to get my heart broken again.'"

Fronted by Sophie, with Kayla Smart (AKA Dorah Jacson) on harmonies and dreamy guitar, Claire Chittick on bass, and Katie Ishaque on drums, the four best friends have enjoyed a meteoric rise. In just two and a half years, they've gone from playing open mic and backyard shows to becoming one of Australia’s most beloved emerging acts.

The bands debut single 'Stallin',' produced by Aidan Hogg (G Flip, Holy Holy), premiered on triple j and has since clocked close to one million streams. With their second single, 'Glitter,' earned strong support from triple j. Subsequent tracks ‘Can’t Get Enough’ and ‘Young Dumb Immature’ landed in triple j’s top ten most-played tracks, securing major editorial playlisting across Spotify, Apple, and YouTube, including features on the covers of Fresh Finds, Indie Arrivals, and New Music Friday.

Signing with global agency WME, the band has hit the stage alongside major acts like girl in red, Beddy Rays, and The Rubens, and completed an extensive tour of the UK and Europe with The Grogans. Their debut EP, Young Dumb Immature, broke into the NACC and SubModern charts in the US, and they performed to packed rooms at this year’s SXSW Festival in Austin.

Betty Taylor are quickly winning fans around the world with their sincerity and signature sound. Known as "the friend who holds your hand after a heartbreak," their endearing and pure live force is a testament to the four best friends simply having the time of their lives.

UK and Ireland Headline Tour Announced

To celebrate the new single, Betty Taylor have announced a headline UK tour with an Irish date. "We are so excited to come back to the UK to play to new audiences and meet new fans," the band stated. They have also been confirmed to support Dylan Flynn and The Dead Poets on two Irish dates, ensuring their growing international fanbase will have plenty of opportunity to experience their acclaimed live show.
