Pull Up a Seat: Swedish Duo TABLE Serve Jazz-House with Soul

Words by Rachel June @mixdjrj

ASBO pulled up a seat with Swedish house-jazz duo TABLE after hearing their distinctive tracks which fuse scrumptious jazz with electronic and house. Check out their latest EP DISC-01 and give it a listen here. Imagine soothing, soulful jazz anchored by house beats and unpredictable brass. Swirling together with spoken word, their sound radiates positivity, light and a fearless sense of adventure.

The band consists of Andreas and Valter, whose musical worlds collided to create TABLE. They met in high school, became fast friends, and the rest is history. “At school, we learned production skills and practised instruments”, and quickly discovering their shared groove, they then began crafting exciting rhythm-driven tracks with a sound all their own. Musically, they’re unkempt in the best way, ready to drift between genres and styles. “We are open to exploring different genres,” says Valter.

There are so many flavours of Jazz House and that’s why it’s exciting so many people in 2025. Drawing inspiration from older music while embracing the new wave of electronic sounds emerging, they explain, “Our goal is not to be stuck in the jazz-house road.” The beauty of jazz lies in its versatility - and for TABLE, that means the sky is the limit! Jazz house is a combination of Andreas and Valter’s personal tastes. They love “Exploring collaborations and genres” along their journey. They expand, “We love working with vocalists and instrumentalists, and we are looking forward to creating more”.

They recently joined Dublon on his European tour (read ASBO’s interview with Dublon here) and loved performing live at Powerpose FM Festival - a standout moment for the duo. Looking ahead, they dream of collaborating with Kaytranada, Jorja Smith and Tom Misch. “There are many UK artists that we love, actually” - Andreas shares. The pair have a soft spot for the UK and have been blown away by the live-show support - especially in Bristol, where they thrived on stage.

Music, community, and friendship sit at the heart of everything they do. Their creative process is rooted in joy and genuine passion. Their advice to aspiring artists? “Explore, stay close to real friendships, and always keep music at the centre of it all”, Valter explains.

On repeat for Valter right now is Cleo Sol, while Andreas is loving Olivia Dean. Looking to the future, expect more collaborations, more live shows, and definitely more TABLE! ASBO loves the remarkable flavours of this Jazz House duo, why don’t you take a bite?
