Step into the exhilarating, messy, and unpredictable world of KABEAUSHÉ. Hailing from Kenya and now living in “the most creative city in the world,” Berlin, the fearless pop artist sat down with us at ASBO to discuss his upcoming release. His new album comes out in February 2026, but this Halloween he releases his first single, ‘I DON’T NEED YOU, SO YOU COULD TELL ME IF I’M GUD’, out today, October 31st, 2025.
KABEAUSHÉ is inspired by the life that swirls around him. Taking inspiration from across the world - art galleries, photos, places, buildings and people feed his spirit which overpours into the music he creates. Drawn to art, people, and light - KABEAUSHÉ is driven by his passions and love for the world around him.
ASBO had the pleasure of seeing him live at The Great Escape 2025, and we left breathless. KABEAUSHÉ interacts with the crowd, creating safe mosh pits where you bounce around in unison with smiling, sweating strangers. His music is hard to pinpoint into a singular genre. It’s spicy, but sweet. It’s high energy, yet moving. It’s an experience and a moment in time - one that KABEAUSHÉ treasures more than anything.
He stands on stage and thinks, “We’re here, let’s do this”. Before you know it everyone is involved. Jumping, grooving, laughing and enjoying his music. “It’s cool to be doing this. To be making the thing”, he gushes. “KABEAUSHÉ is an alter ego that I made to live out all these fantasies and express all the ideas I have” - he adds. He lives in a world with no rules and just creativity - standing on stage in a blonde wig commanding the whole room. “Through KABEAUSHÉ I can wear the outfits, and can be someone else - like a superhero wearing a cape. Then I can go back and live a completely normal life away from all of that”. Hello, Hannah Montana who? His outfits, military themed, give a political feeling - but the message? Be free. “A lot of love has been poured into this”, he states.
The audience interaction in his shows stems from his experience growing up in a Kenyan church. “It’s never just people arriving at church and opening your hymns, it’s more of praise and worship which is call and response. So the basis of how I perform is just that.”
His creative process is spontaneous. “I make music based on the feeling that I want people to feel. I need to fuck your brain up - just enough, just a little bit, and then we can go back to jumping. I can get away with so much. Being a small artist and being able to make the thing I want to make. I enjoy it so much.”

When I asked KABEAUSHÉ what he would advise to aspiring artists, he laughed and said “No wisdom! No advice!”, but went on to thank the people around him that have gotten him this far. “People seemed to be at the right place at the right time. People who believed in what I created. Being able to play shows is just the best”, he reminisced. “I enjoy a nice packed room of people who are just on the same wavelengths. For one hour we just wanna sweat, hear loud music and party like they did in the 60s, 70s and 80s.”
So what’s on the cards for KABEAUSHÉ this year and next? “Expect more music”, he beams. “Enjoy the ride, and watch the drama unfold.” ASBO can’t wait to be sweaty on the dancefloor jumping in unison with elated audiences, are you in?
