Bass, Community, Energy: A Night Inside Quarters

We are SO BACK! ASBO Magazine has returned to Quarters with our clubbing shoes on and gun fingers at the ready. Quarters’ opening month has been wild, with epic line-ups sending Brighton’s music lovers into a frenzy.

As drum and bass fiends, we were buzzing to see the legendary Bou headlining this weekend. For lovers of filthy, fast-paced DnB - this one was for you.

The night kicked off with DJ Audit, whose heavy-hitting drum and bass vibrations filled the room. By 11pm, the club was already packed wall-to-wall with eager ravers warming up for Bou’s arrival. Strobe lights shimmered above us as we danced in anticipation, soaking in every drop of Audit’s set.

At 1am, it was finally time for Bou. The crowd erupted as he dropped a mix of old bangers and fresh new tracks, sending the dance floor into overdrive. Thank God for the air-con - the cool bursts from above were a blessing after a particularly sweaty X-step.

Bou kept us bouncing for hours with grins all around, hands in the air, the crowd moving as one to his unmistakable sound. From behind the decks, you could see the whole room lift with every drop.

We weren’t done yet. DJ TLB closed the night in true style, blessing us once again with his electrifying energy (and yes - we managed to grab him for a quick backstage chat!) Between stretch breaks and bass drops, we danced right through to 4am, and it was absolutely worth it!

Buzzed, exhausted, and thoroughly danced out, we made our traditional pit stop at the chicken shop for a well-deserved wrap before heading home.

Once again, Quarters exceeded every expectation. It continues to prove itself as Brighton’s new home for safe, euphoric, community-driven nights - a space where music lovers can truly lose themselves in the sound. We can’t wait to be back. Catch you on the dance floor.
