Tucked into 31 New Inn Yard across the three-day showcase at Fashion Scout, the BEYOND LIMITS: Polish Visionaries presentation—curated by the Creative Industries Institute (IPK) alongside GQ Poland—brought an injection of pure, unfiltered creative weight into Shoreditch.

Among the twelve designers spanning apparel and fine jewellery, it was Hubert Pelc whose work arrested the space with a quiet, deliberate intensity.

Stepping into the presentation space, the immediate impression of Pelc’s collection was one of brutalist elegance. His background from Warsaw’s Fine Arts Academy echoes through every seam and unrefined hem; fabric is manipulated with the hand of a sculptor rather than a traditional pattern-cutter.

A graduate of the prestigious Department of Fashion at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Pelc approaches garment construction not as utilitarian street armor, but as a rigid form of spatial fine art. Where lesser presentations lean on narrative gimmicks, Pelc treats the human silhouette as a canvas subject to tension, memory, and structural weight.
