Oasis icon and solo powerhouse Liam Gallagher has officially become the new ambassador for Brighter Sound, a Manchester-based charity that has spent 25 years breaking down barriers for emerging music professionals. In an era dominated by a cost-of-living crisis and declining grassroots venues, this partnership aims to revitalize opportunities for the next generation of working-class artists. To kick things off, Gallagher has launched an exclusive Zeffy prize draw featuring highly coveted, sold-out pairs of his adidas collab Achille SPZL trainers from the historic Oasis Live ‘25 tour. Running until July 13th, 100% of the proceeds will directly fund Brighter Sound's initiatives.
This raffle marks the first phase of a broader collaboration to establish a new direct-to-artist fund providing crucial financial support to early-career musicians in Greater Manchester. This initiative caps off a landmark 2026 for Brighter Sound, following their leadership of the first-ever BRITs Fringe festival. Expressing his pride in the role, Gallagher emphasized the urgent need for more arts support, particularly for the working class. Brighter Sound Director Kate Lowes added that the partnership reflects a shared commitment to ensuring Manchester's incredible talent continues to rise from the grassroots to the world stage.
