W: Eloise Apple, Loz Halls

It’s been 9 months since we’ve seen anything live from the boys, the world has shifted since then. The dream of five red stripes for a fiver is a more distant dream, people have stopped asking ‘do you like good music?’ and it's been a while since I've seen someone jig to some Vandross. With no supporting bands, all eyes were on them. 

The night was themed around their new single ‘Amsterdam’, boarding passes were sent through the post beforehand and on the night attendees received their handcrafted passports upon check-in. The vibes were flowing on arrival with ASBO’s own Loz spinning a mix of classic indie tunes, to ramp up the crowd and get the party started.

The energy in the air was tangible with the crowd’s desperate anticipation for the band’s return. The moment they walked through the door with The Chemical Brothers ‘Go’ blasting through the PA, it became clear you were in for something electric. The nine months that had passed suddenly seemed to melt away and it felt as if we were so back. 

With beer stained loafers spilt on the first song, crowd surfing amongst the faithful fans, newbies and family. The excitement and stage presence was at an all time high. 

A great blend of energy, confidence and engaging performance from all of the band, they also each have an individual personal style. If you have the chance to grab a ticket for their next live gig, my suggestion is get them while you still can.
