NEW RELEASE: Indigo Fire returns with new single ” Gone Away ”

W: Noah Fashesin

Indigo Fire return with their sophomore single ‘Gone Away’. The duo's single follows up their debut track ‘Lyrics from a song’, with both songs set to feature on their debut project ‘Incipent’.

Gone away’ has been described as a track that  “draws upon events that happened years ago. But it could have been yesterday. Or it could be tomorrow. The emotions would be the same… a mix of hurt, bewilderment, frustration and anger that comes with the loss of something important. Heavy on the synths and vocals with a punchy drum line and more subtle guitar”.

Indigo Fire is the creation of Guy Martland and Pete Burdon and was formed this year. The duo have a history of playing in orchestras and blues bands over the years, but decided to form Indigo Fire and delve into a new sound. The group has the sounds of an 80s post punk, dance rock group and is influenced by bands they grew up listening to, the likes of The Cure, Depeche Mode, New Order and Pink Floyd, all being the muse for the group's newfound sound.

‘Gone Away’ is the follow-up to Indigo Fires' debut track, that released in May of this year, and is building up to their debut album ‘Incepient’.
