Who is ‘bite ’
BITE are a modern amalgamation of retro 70s funk and soul with a hint of classic
progressive rock all with a scouse indie twist
For someone that is yet to discover you, how would you describe your music?
I would describe our music as feel good music, its funk, its disco, its rock with a twist of modern pop. It’s lots of things all mixed together.
What inspires you as a band ?
We are inspired by the music and making people get up to dance and just live in the moment
What Is Yor Pre-Show Routine? Whose The Diva in the band?
About an hour before the show, we scatter someone’s checking their pedals for the tenth time, someone else is pretending they’re not nervous. Closer to stage time, we regroup, do a very questionable stretch, and remind ourselves what venue we’re in. Just before we go on, we huddle up, have a laugh, and remind each other it’s about being loose, not perfect. Then it’s lights on, and off we go.
Where do you feel you fit into the music landscape?
Retro-modern fusion wave that bridges vintage sounds with modern energy.

What are your favourite musical genres, and are there any you dislike?
We all have very broad pallets for music genres but I feel our favourites are Funk, Soul, Psychedelic Rock and a bit of 70s progressive rock we love all genres of music there aren’t really any we dislike.
Is there a story behind you’re the new single ‘Move Around’
Move Around was written about always having a good time no matter what. In this case it was written in the perspective of a relationship where you want to be with your person but also being able to be happy on your own.
What would you say is your greatest strength as a band is ?
We feel our greatest strength as a band is our never ending desire to go as far as we possibly can and keep on trying for more.
What would you say is your greatest weakness as a band is ?
Our greatest weakness is not knowing when to relax we all get in our heads sometimes and panic whether we are really trying hard enough .
What can fans expect from your new single ‘Move Around’ ?

Fans can expect a funk and disco fuelled pop track that you just can’t help but dance too. We wanted to write a feel good song that told people to dance without us saying it out loud.
What music artist/band would you say have influenced your work?
There’s way too many to say them all but main influences would be Pink Floyd, James Brown, Al Green, Steely Dan and Funkadelic to just name a few.
Who would you most like to collaborate with artistically?
We would love to collab with Anderson Pakk, Bruno Mars and Silk Sonic. We love their vibe and they really bring that retro 70s flare which we love.
What was your worst performance?
The worst gig we have played was in the arts club loft, we just didn’t feel ourselves that day and things didn’t seem to go our way on stage either, however it’s a great venue and it taught us that it’s not always going to go the way you expect. Hopefully we can play there again and redeem ourselves
What was the most difficult obstacle you have ever faced and how did you overcome it ?
The most difficult obstacle we ever faced was making this track. We went into the studio expecting to get it done in a day and it just didn’t happen like it had done with our two previous tracks. This knocked us off our feet but we worked together and now we couldn’t be happier with our new single.
What is your creative process when making music?
Our creative process usually kicks off when one of us brings a fresh idea whether it’s a riff, a
groove, or a melody. From there, everyone jumps in, crafting their parts and building on each
other’s energy. Once we catch that spark, it’s full steam ahead as we all dive into shaping the
song, investing everything we’ve got until it feels right and sometimes It never does but It’s a real team effort, and that shared passion keeps the music alive and evolving.
