THE REFLECTION OF A RISING STAR: MEET NITA

W: Mandy Morgan

“My music is the type you want to listen to when you need motivation.” — NITA

Singer, songwriter, actress, and model—NITA is the Las Vegas talent proving that confidence isn’t something you’re born with; it’s something you build. With her debut single “My Mirror,” she opens up about the struggle of self-belief and the power of a pop-rock beat.

NITA has been singing since she was two years old. From the choirs of her school to the bright lights of Las Vegas and performing the National Anthem at major events, music has been her lifelong pulse. But behind the powerful vocals and the multifaceted career in acting and modeling lies a relatable journey of a teenager trying to find her balance in a fast-paced industry.

We sat down with NITA to discuss her new music, her inspirations, and how she turns vulnerability into art.

For those who haven't yet experienced her sound, NITA describes her music as "lively and about confidence." It’s a blend of pop and rock—the kind of high-energy anthem you reach for when you need a boost of motivation.

While she draws from a deep well of genres including R&B, Soul, Indie, and Gospel, her current work is heavily influenced by the band Senses. "I am inspired by the way music makes you feel," she says. "How it can help you through moments in your life and the stories of people who keep doing what they love."

Her debut single, “My Mirror,” produced by Rob Lacey and Sean Christensen, is a deeply personal project born from a moment of doubt.

"I sat down one day and started to write about my struggles," NITA reveals. "I had a lack of confidence in myself when it came to performing or believing I could be a singer."

The breakthrough came from her family. "My mother was my mirror. She told me to look at myself—that I can do anything if I believe in myself. She and my dad helped me channel those emotions into the song."

The track isn't just a lyrical journey; it’s a sonic powerhouse. Composed by her father and brought to life with real instruments by Sean Christensen, the single features NITA’s friends—X Man on drums and Dexter on guitar—to create what she calls "a positive message with a great rock beat."

Despite her growing success, NITA is refreshingly honest about the hurdles of performance anxiety. She counts her ability to take feedback and improve as her greatest strength, but admits that her "greatest weakness" is worrying too much before a show.

She recounts a difficult moment at the Uprising in Las Vegas Container Park where nerves got the better of her. "I lost my concentration and started to cry on stage because I was embarrassed," she shares. However, she has developed a grounding pre-show routine to combat the jitters: "I tell myself 'I got this, go have fun, and make people smile.'

Like many young artists, NITA’s biggest challenge hasn't been the music itself, but the life surrounding it. Balancing full-time studies with acting roles and performances once led to burnout and declining grades.

"I overcame this by communicating to my parents the need for a break," she explains. "Stepping back helped me realize that I have the power to decide what is most important to me: my education and my well-being."

As she continues to navigate the music landscape with the support of her vocal teachers and producers, NITA remains open to the future. While she’d love to collaborate with local Las Vegas bands to learn from her peers, she has her sights set high for the future: "If I could collaborate with a famous person, it would be Sia! She is amazing."

With a journaling-based creative process and a heart for soulful storytelling, NITA is more than just a performer—she’s an artist in the making, one reflection at a time.
