Belarusian dark ambient artist, Ugasanie, or Pavel Malyshkin to his friends, has just released his icy new
'Endless Cold, Endless Darkness' album for the respected Cryo Chamber label.

Translating as 'extinction' in Russian as well as a term associated with 'nirvana' in Buddhism, Ugasanie has been
making electronic drone music for a few years now. After spending six months in the Arctic Circle, the Yamal peninsula to be precise, the music
has taken a theme of the polar north as its dominant structure.

The new album presents a frozen and harsh environment. Cold blizzards, ancient burial grounds and sacral atmospherics is weaved with delicate textures and blue noise that encapsulates a world far from civilization. Snow blasted ambience, you might say.

Despite its overwhelming nature, the album is immensely enjoyable. Its details emerge slowly, resulting in an unpredictable yet cohesive experience.
