Zander is poised to make a powerful statement with his forthcoming EP, No Silverset for release onNovember 14th. Far more than a simple collection of tracks, this EP is described as a true snapshot of a weird, heavy, yet important time in Zander’s life, distilling years of formative experience into a tightly focused, emotionally resonant body of work.

What immediately elevates Zander is his astonishing, multi-level talent, operating as a genuine polymath. His uncompromising sonic vision perfectly matches the personal nature of his lyrics. The soundscapes he creates are built from the ground up, ensuring every note serves his complex narrative.

The thematic core of new single ‘Lost Cause’ is rooted in Zander’s upbringing and the stark contrasts that shaped his mindset - specifically, growing up in the only council house in an otherwise affluent area in North Yorkshire. This experience of navigating class and expectation informs its rawest emotional moments. “‘Lost Cause’ was written at a time I was really struggling with my move to London from the north and was letting it really get to me. I moved to London to succeed in music, and at the time, it felt like it wasn’t moving as fast as I wanted. I started letting doubt seep in for the first time since I’d moved.” Zander continues, “The song explores craving mistakes that I’d made, and this is me saying that I wish I could’ve gone back to the times I thought were hard - the time I was having, when I wrote the song, felt harder. I wanted to blame everything around me instead of zooming out and trying to deal with my problems head-on.”

It’s this unflinching honesty about feeling stuck, unsure of who he was, or where he was goingthat makes ‘Lost Cause’ so compelling. The track explores the disillusionment that comes with discovering that reality often falls short of perceived success, wrestling with the universal human question of why things sometimes didn’t feel as good as they looked from the outside..

‘Lost Cause’ is an essential listen for anyone seeking music that is both technically brilliant and emotionally sincre. Expect a complex, cathartic, and musically rich journey when the EP, No Silver, arrives on November 14th.
