"Built for warm rooms and long nights, 'Broken Jam' is a masterclass in genre-fluidity."
W: Mandy Morgan.
The London-based duo X & Ivy are officially turning up the temperature for 2026. Following their standout contribution to the Rhythm Section Shouts 2025 compilation, the pair have announced their latest EP, Broken Jam, set for release on March 26th. To kick things off, the duo will drop the lead single "Could This Be Love" on March 6th, arriving via Bradley Zero’s prestigious Rhythm Section imprint.

The project opens at full throttle with "Back in 10," a track that takes no time in bringing the heat. Defined by warped, synth-driven sonics, it serves as a punchy, club-ready statement that nods to the duo's production prowess while signalling the fast-approaching festival season. The energy then shifts into the title track, "Broken Jam," a steady groover with melodic undertones that perfectly illustrates X & Ivy’s ability to traverse genres with ease.
“This release grew out of a year of friendship with Bradley and the sense of home he’s given us in London.”
As the EP progresses, "Could This Be Love" shifts gears entirely. It pairs crisp, deceptive percussion with a melody that brings a euphoric glisten, intertwining uplifting chords with soulful backing vocals. The journey concludes with "Zen Hotline," a tech-focused closer characterized by bouncing beats and whirling sirens. It is a high-energy, forward-facing track that cements their intent for what is set to be a monumental year.
“This EP leans deeper into our love of house music, built for warm rooms and long nights.”
X & Ivy have steadily built a reputation for fusing the raw pulse of early Chicago house and Detroit techno with the breakbeat energy and acid textures of ’90s UK rave culture. Having already secured major support from the likes of Pete Tong, Danny Howard, and Sarah Story, and with a catalogue spanning Nervous Records and Life and Death, the duo has firmly established their standing within the global underground.
