New York Quartet SKORTS Drop Thrilling New Single ‘Headrush’ Ahead of Debut UK Tour

W: Billy Wilder I: Nick Charnas

Hotly-tipped New York quartet SKORTS have unleashed their electrifying new single 'Headrush' just ahead of their highly anticipated European tour, which features the band’s debut live dates in the UK.

SKORTS craft the kind of visceral music that flows through your veins, reverberates in your bones, and strikes nerves you never knew existed. Their songs serve as a raw reminder of what it means to be alive and a reassurance that you are never alone. Driven by swirling guitars, a pulsating bassline, and yearning, passionate vocals, 'Headrush' tunes directly into raw sexuality.

“'Headrush' is a product of desire, jealousy, and rage,” explains SKORTS frontwoman Alli Walls. ”I was in an ‘I will get what I want’ kind of mood, and what I wanted was to cum.”

Born out of creative chemistry and sweet serendipity, SKORTS are a band united by chance. Formed after a series of random encounters at guitar shops and outside bars, the lineup—comprising Alli Walls (lead vocals/guitar), Char Smith (lead guitar), Emma Welch (bass), and Max Berdik (drums)—has been unstoppable since they began releasing music in 2023. Over the last few years, the band has steadily forged their reputation on increasingly larger stages across New York City and nationwide.

Following the release of their debut album 'Incompletement' last October, UK audiences will finally get their first chance to experience the band’s high-energy live show this summer, kicking off at London’s iconic Shacklewell Arms.

SKORTS UK Tour Dates:

  • 30 June – London, The Shacklewell Arms
  • 1 July – Birkenhead, Future Yard
  • 2 July – Nottingham, Billy Bootleggers
  • 3 July – Manchester, Big Hands
  • 4 July – Brighton, The Brunswick
