As if announcing NOISIA and BICEP wasn't enough, Boomtown might finally be giving our legs a break from the dreaded Hippy Highway...or is it Hillbilly Hill?! I just don't know anymore!
Boomtown, Boomtown, Boomtown... my happy place. We had an incredible Boomtown this year, celebrating all things wacky and experiencing some truly unforgettable live music. This just in...Chapter 6: WILD STYLE is going to be one to remember.
We'll be heading back to our home from home, Matterley Estate, from 11th to 15th August 2027 (and yes, I'll be booking it off work ASAP).
BICEP will close the legendary Lion's Den, bringing their live show to the stage for the first time. The Belfast-born duo are also gearing up to release their first album in five years, Slug, in January 2027. After years of trying to make the appearance happen, the pair have said they're excited to finally bring their live show to Boomtown. Having been a fan of theirs for years, I cannot wait to be back in the Lion's Den, losing myself in the tech-house dreamscape of BICEP.

We also have NOISIA, who are reuniting for a closing set on HYDRO XL!
If you made it to Boomtown 2026, or have seen ANY videos, you'll know just how epic the HYDRO XL stage is. For NOISIA, this return marks a pretty special full-circle moment. Their last Boomtown appearance was back in 2022, during their farewell tour, making this reunion all the more meaningful. Now back making music together, the Dutch trio will take to the magnificent splendour of HYDRO XL.
As a heavy bass head myself, I cannot wait to have the life blown out of me by their big, meaty, bassy tunes, electrifying the air. It's no surprise that Boomtown are the ones to bring this band back together, and we thank you for it.
The official lineup (phase) 1 drops on Thursday 26th November, so keep your eyes peeled for updates.
The festival has also revealed plans for a major reimagining of Anara Forest, promising another evolution of its immersive woodland experience, complete with hidden discoveries and a 360 audio-visual journey. Bring me back to Anara, please.

There's also a new addition called The Transportal, a mysterious new ride set to whisk festival-goers up Hippy Highway, connecting Downtown with Copperwood Heights and Thrutopia. Think less daunting uphill trek, more magical transportation system. The idea is to make the journey between districts an experience in itself, something which, by the way, I'd like to suggest to Brighton Council. It's set to be powered by green energy (or, in true Boomtown fashion, perhaps a little fairy dust).
I can't quite imagine Boomtown being any more brilliantly bonkers than it is, but the imagination and creativity just won't stop.
So, get ready for Boomtown 2027. A place that promises to transport you somewhere only your dreams can reach. If you're heading to the festival, hit us up with your music for a chance to be featured in ASBO Magazine!
See you at the fair.
