New single 'Trace Me ON2 U' is streaming now. Full video below.
Describing this as their "first big kid" release for the new Technicolour imprint (via Ninja Tune), Touching Ice, the LA-based trio of Abigail, Dominic and Davis, have steadily carved out a unique lane of their own, blending industrial textures with their indie-tinged pop.
Very much at the forefront of the new wave of electro-pop alongside the likes of Ninajirachi, Bassvictim, Jane Remover & Frost Children, as well as sitting within the experimental/indie scene sharing a creative community with Dutch Interior, Julie, Loralai / Water From Your Eyes, untitled (halo), Mandy, Indiana and Model/Actriz. Sounds like a BBC 6Music playlist, doesn't it?
Having built momentum through a growing catalogue, including their 2025 debut album ‘I Just Remembered Everything Always Works Out For Me’, contributions to CFCF's acclaimed 2026 album ‘L.U.V.’ (a brilliant album, check it out), and the remix project ‘100 of the Best EDM Songs’, which featured contributions from Current Joys, The Bloody Beetroots, untitled (halo), Mandy Indiana and more,
'Trace Me ON2 U' signals an exciting new chapter for the band as they continue to establish themselves as one of LA's most compelling rising acts. Feeling immediately inspired in the recording process of the track, the trio say: "The vocals were recorded on the spot at Dom’s house. Lyrically, we were drawing from some of our favourite indie rock records (Title Fight, Sebadoh) and trying to translate that rawness, as well as a distinctly feminine angst into a dance song. We’re constantly trying to evolve our sound and find ourselves toeing a lot of lines: catchy and experimental, pop and alternative, soft and aggressive. This song feels like a natural extension of that."
Further tracks will be with us soon and the band are in London playing two shows. They perform tonight (Nov 4) as part of the Pitchfork Festival at the Village Underground and cross the river to Brixton to play The Windmill tomorrow (Nov 5).
